Reactor visualization & diagnostics

Live inputs update the equilibrium view; aggregate KPIs summarize how the modeled discharge sits against performance and stability groupings operators expect on a cockpit screen.

Live inputs · monitoring view

Readouts show present values against a nominal envelope (band fill). Adjustment uses a discrete control underneath — paced for readability, not a slider demo UI.

Perturbed-shell vertices displaced along local surface normals, with microscopic amplitude inflated 10–50× so bumps / dimples read clearly. Caption matches the visualization factor slider.

What the model resolves

🔴

Shafranov Shifted Torus

Plasma cross-section rendered using the Grad–Shafranov equilibrium with D-shaped geometry. Elongation κ and triangularity δ parameters match MAST-U spherical tokamak operational range.

🔵

Magnetic Field Line Tracing

Helical field lines computed from q-profile estimate. Toroidal winding number derived from safety factor q₉₅. Line density scales with toroidal field Bₜ magnitude.

🟡

Temperature Gradient

Core-to-edge temperature profile rendered as radial color gradient. Peaked profile (parabolic-α) with α = 2.0. Color map: violet (edge) → orange (core) at T₀ keV.
